Job summary

Enpro, through its Technetics subsidiary, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop and standardize machining processes, fixtures, and tooling. You will design CNC programs for multi-axis lathes and mills using Esprit CAM, and collaborate with shop-floor personnel to optimize production.

This role requires a bachelor’s in manufacturing engineering and 10+ years in the field, with strong GD&T, CAD/CAM skills, and a track record in cost reductions and new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or the equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing engineering
• Tooling/fixturing design background required
• Three or more years of conventional lathe, mill & CNC machining experience
• CAM experience with Esprit CAM and CAD with Siemens NX is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and standardize machining processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Develop CNC programs for multi-axis CNC lathes and mills via CAM software (Esprit CAM).
• Develop standard operating procedures and training guides for CNC machining and other processes.
• Collaborate with shop floor personnel to incorporate feedback from production runs to correct job standards.
• Provide technical support for jigs, fixtures and special tools including procurement and manufacture.
• Lead new product introductions including routed processes, BOMs, in-process drawings, gaging and tooling design/procurement/ manufacture.
• Support cost justifications for capital and expense items; assist in equipment/process implementations.
• Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing, quality, and engineering to resolve issues.
• Contribute to cost reduction and Set-up reduction through value analyses and manufacturability guidance.
• Participate in MRB process and implement Engineering Change Orders.
• Interface with customers and suppliers regarding manufacturing issues.
• Stay updated on manufacturing technology developments and apply where appropriate.
