Job summary

Enprotech Corp in Lansing, MI is seeking a skilled CNC programmer to develop and modify G-code programs for CNC lathes and mills, translating blueprints and design specifications into instructions that cut and shape materials into precise forms. Five years’ experience programming CNC lathes and/or mills is required.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience programming CNC lathes and/or mills.
• Blueprint reading is required with a high level of experience.
• Degree or certification or equivalent job experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting Blueprints and Designs: Understanding technical drawings, specifications, and design models to determine the final product dimensions and tolerances.
• Developing CNC Programs: Creating and modifying G-code or other programming languages for toolpaths, speeds, feeds, and machine parameters.
• Choosing Cutting Tools and Fixtures: Selecting tools and fixtures based on material, geometry, and required accuracy.
• Setting Up and Adjusting Machines: Configuring machines, tool selection, clamping, and preparations for jobs.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Verifying program function, identifying errors, and adjusting settings as needed.
• Staying Current with Technology: Keeping up with CNC technology, languages, and manufacturing processes.
