Job summary

Swagelok in Ohio is seeking a Level IV Machine Operator to run and maintain fluid-system components on a senior manufacturing team. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform machine changeovers, and mentor junior operators in a clean, temperature-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five years’ machining experience including extensive changeovers.
• Independently troubleshoot and solve complex machine equipment, tooling and programming issues.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, control plans, and work instructions.
• Expansive tooling knowledge including inspection gauges, micrometers, calipers, ring gauges, dial indicators and datum gauges.

Responsibilities

• Follow SPS standards; participate in daily shift start-up with team and handoff reports.
• Perform advanced machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments on varied equipment.
• Monitor outputs; adjust tooling and settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, fixturing, and programming.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, ring gauges and other inspection tools.
• Identify and lead process improvements for quality, efficiency, or safety.
• Assist with new equipment/tooling implementations and methods.
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
• Document production activities and maintain records.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Serve as SME for assigned equipment; train/mentor junior operators.
