Job summary

Divergent in Torrance, CA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (CNC Machining Specialist) to lead turning and multi-axis work on high-precision aerospace and industrial components.

You will own setups, run jobs, and implement robust machining strategies across turning, milling, and grinding while partnering with design and manufacturing engineering to translate complex requirements into production-ready processes.

Qualifications

Extensive experience operating CNC turning centers.
Cross-functional machining including milling and grinding.
Proficient with GD&T on the shop floor.
Experience with multi-axis machining and complex components.
Hands-on from first article through production.

Responsibilities

Lead setup, operation, and optimization of CNC turning centers for precision parts.
Define machining strategies across turning and milling operations.
Own processes from prove-out to stable production and drive improvements.
Develop setup sheets, work instructions, and process standards.
Mentor machinists and promote best practices.
Champion EHS standards and maintain a clean, safe shop floor.
