Job summary

Ace Metal Crafts Company, a sheet metal fabrication and machining specialist in stainless steel serving the Midwest, is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist with 5+ years of experience. You will read blueprints, set up machines, calculate speeds and feeds, and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience as a CNC Mill (G-Code).
• Vertical and horizontal machining experience (Mori Seiki, Mazak, HAAS).
• Knowledge of tooling and applications to apply.
• Ability to do setups required to complete the part, including work holding.
• Ability to calculate speeds and feeds for various materials.
• Must hold tight tolerances (+/- .0005).
• Proficient using inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and interpreted programs.
• Use blueprints, specifications, job routings, GD&T to plan daily machining.
• Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
• Detect and troubleshoot problems by taking measurements and adjusting controls.
• Very good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and machine programs to plan daily machining.
• Set up machines and work holding to complete parts.
• Calculate speeds and feeds for various materials to meet tolerances.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other gauges to verify accuracy.
• Troubleshoot problems by measuring, adjusting controls, and monitoring drilling/cutting.
