MAG Automotive is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and maintenance of complex machine tool projects in Sterling Heights, MI. The role emphasizes staying within budgeted hours, costs, and schedules, with must-have experience in metal cutting machines.

Qualifications

BS Mechanical Engineer or related education.
10+ years of experience in machine tool, specific to metal cutting machines.
Experience and knowledge with components, parts, and assemblies listed.

Responsibilities

Direct the product design in accordance with the specifications, cost targets, and schedule requirements.
Generate and maintain appropriate records, reports and required documentation.
May lead engineering associates, several direct reports, and subcontractors based on the years of experience and knowledge in technical engineering areas.
Coordinate and document research and development projects.
May coordinate engineering budgets, quotes, and schedules.
