Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Sterling Heights, MI seeks an experienced CNC Technician (1st Shift) to maintain CNC programs and tooling, develop prototype parts, and support CIP and continuous improvement projects. The role requires strong G-code knowledge, repair and tool-change experience, and the ability to mentor operators in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of CNC Programming and Set-up experience.
• Knowledge of G-Code and machining fundamentals (turning/milling).
• Experience with lathe, mill and induction hardening processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs manually and with software for efficient machining.
• Set up, adjust and troubleshoot CNC machines (lathes and vertical mills).
• Train and assist CNC operators on tooling changes and robot teaching.
