Job summary

ARCH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to create CNC programs for Mazak lathe equipment from solid models and drawings. You will develop processes for new and legacy parts, optimize feeds and speeds, and design fixtures to maximize efficiency. The role emphasizes collaboration with machinists and ongoing improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a technical growth path, involvement in quoting, and a strong focus on quality and safety within a modern manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Technical training in precision machining or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of CNC machining/manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in Mastercam or similar CAM software and G-code knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and machine control systems.
• Experience with quality instruments and process qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs and processes for new and legacy lathe parts.
• Program parts and fixtures using CAM software (Mastercam).
• Optimize feeds, speeds, and processes for efficiency.
• Design fixtures and cutting tools and ensure collision-free code with simulations.
• Support quoting, including manufacturability feedback to customers.
• Set up and run CNC lathes to support new product introductions and improvements.
• Mentor machinists and collaborate to resolve programming issues.
• Drive continuous improvement on new and legacy parts.
