Job summary

SIG SAUER Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Service Technician III to maintain and repair CNC equipment in our Rochester, NH facility.

You will work with Fanuc and Siemens controls, perform diagnostics, and support preventative maintenance alongside Engineering, Manufacturing, and operators. The role requires deep hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, a strong ability to read mechanical drawings, and the initiative to lead improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Vocational or Applied degree preferred or 10 years of CNC milling or lathe experience on Fanuc or Siemens control.
• Experience with Fanuc/Siemens controls and CNC machinery.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and ladder/wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic systems; run diagnostic tests.
• Update machine software, back up parameters, and compare files for diagnosis.
• Diagnose and prevent equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Use specialized tools to diagnose faults in complex equipment; perform ballbar tests.
• Design and implement electrical circuits to integrate automation with machinery.
• Install, repair, and replace hydraulic, coolant, or air systems; maintain machine longevity.
• Develop training material and mentor junior technicians in troubleshooting methods.
