Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and setup sheets, selecting and installing tools, loading CNC programs, and performing first-article inspections with calipers and micrometers. Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance are also required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of CNC machining and setup experience, often including multi-axis (4- or 5-axis) machine knowledge.
• Strong ability to read complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with common machine controls (Fanuc, Mazak) to edit programs and troubleshoot errors.
• Solid background in shop math and precision measurement tools.

Responsabilités

• Train and assist setup and operation of CNC and manual machines, including grinders.
• Read blueprints, setup sheets, and work orders to determine manufacturing sequences and control settings.
• Select, install, align, and secure cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
• Load CNC programs, input offsets, and adjust feeds and speeds.
• Perform first-article inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure safety and quality of output.
• Maintain and clean equipment; follow shop safety protocols.
• Handoff running machines to operators and monitor early production cycles.
