Job summary

Magnetic Technologies Corporation in Ohio is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to join its manufacturing team. This role covers training, setup, and operation of CNC and grinding processes to produce precision parts.

You will train new employees, read blueprints and set up machines, load CNC programs, adjust feeds and speeds, perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and quality on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years CNC machining and setup experience, including multi-axis (4- or 5-axis) machine knowledge.
• Strong ability to read complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with machine controls such as Fanuc or Mazak to edit programs and troubleshoot errors.
• Solid background in shop math, geometry, and precision measurement tools.
• Prefer 1st responder training and certification (willing to acquire if not yet certified).
• Prefer effective use of Microsoft Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Train employees in setup and operation of CNC and manual machine tools, including grinders.
• Read blueprints, setup sheets, and work orders to determine manufacturing sequences and control settings.
• Select, install, align, and secure cutting tools, attachments, and work-holding devices onto machines.
• Load CNC programs, input tool/work offsets, and adjust feed rates and speeds.
• Perform dry runs or first-article inspections using precision measurement tools.
• Monitor initial production cycles, correct out-of-tolerance sequences, and resolve issues.
• Keep equipment clean and safe, and hand off running machines to operators.
• Operate CNC equipment as required.
