Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or machining apprenticeship preferred.
• 3–5 years CNC machining and setup experience, including multi-axis (4-5 axis).
• Read complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T with accuracy.
• Proficient with Fanuc or Mazak controls to edit programs and troubleshoot.
• Strong shop math, geometry, and precision measurement skills.
• First responder training/certification preferred (willing to obtain).
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of company policies, safety, and environmental practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication across organization.

Responsibilities

• Train employees in CNC and manual machine setup and operation.
• Prepare machines by reading blueprints, setup sheets, and work orders.
• Select, install, align, and secure cutting tools and work-holding devices.
• Load CNC programs, set tool/work offsets, adjust feeds and speeds.
• Perform dry runs and first-article inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain tolerances.
• Maintain equipment with cleaning, lubrication, and preventive tasks.
• Handover run-ready machines to operators and monitor initial production.
• Operate CNC equipment as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
