Job summary

DEKA Research and Development in Manchester, NH is seeking a skilled Machinist/Toolmaker to program and operate HAAS, Mazak, and DMG-Mori machines within a prototype shop environment. You will also inspect finished parts for accuracy and collaborate on tooling and process improvements.

The role requires proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidCam, setup and operation of milling and turning centers, and strong blueprint reading abilities.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of machining experience.
• Experience with setup and operation of milling machines, lathes, CNC machines and precision measuring equipment.
• Familiar with calipers, micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with injection mold fabrication and assembly, including grinding and fitting.
• Comfort with SolidWorks and SolidCam; 3- and 4-axis machining.
• Sinker and wire EDM experience is a plus.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Demonstrated longevity and growth within positions.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate machining centers and lathes as jobs dictate.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy.
• Will be exposed to multiple machines and controllers including HAAS, Mazak and DMG-Mori on 3 to 5 axis machining centers and mill turns in prototype machine shop environment.
• Work with SolidWorks and SolidCam or other comparable CAD/CAM software.
