Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in El Paso, TX is seeking a Programmer/Technical Support specialist to create CAD/CAM programs using EdgeCAM, Creo, and SolidWorks. You will read blueprints, set design specs, adjust cutting paths, and perform quality checks on first pieces and finished parts.

English proficiency is required to communicate with team across shifts in a busy machine shop. Responsibilities include supporting all shifts, validating parts and fixtures, assisting in setup and training,

Qualifications

• Proficient on EdgeCAM, Creo, SolidWorks CAD/CAM software.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience (preferable on HAAS and MAZAK machines).
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
• Provide solutions to problems in a timely manner.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for all shifts to ensure the Machine Shop runs efficiently and meets quality standards.
• Validate new parts, fixtures, and jigs for all manufacturing.
• Assist in training setup and all machine personnel as needed.
• Assist in determining root cause and corrective action analysis to NCMRs and other duties as assigned.
• Troubleshoot machining related issues (tool, manufacturing process, or mechanical).
• Maintain excellent knowledge of geometric tolerance and dimensioning.
• Use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM to validate tolerances.
• Update programs for better efficiency (Poka-Yoke) and revision changes.
• Assist in quoting cycle times, materials, tooling, and custom fixtures.
• Identify and exploit opportunities to increase total production output.

Job description

The Programmer/Technical Support role creates technical drawings and CNC programs using EDGE, Creo, and SOLIDWORKS CAD/CAM software. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical blueprints, entering design specifications, adjusting machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on first-piece and finished products. The position requires knowledge of G-code, M-code, and MAZATROL, including post-process editing. Additional duties include creating, maintaining, and updating files using Microsoft Office, performing routine machine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Provide support for all shifts in their efforts to ensure the Machine Shop is running efficiently and according to quality standards.

• Willing and able to perform any function of the cell, including, but not limited to Programs, sets ups and operates the CNC equipment, deburring, electronic responsibility related to their position.

• Assist in quoting cycle times, material, tooling, and custom fixtures.
• Identify and Exploit opportunities to increase total production output.
