Qualifications

• Drawings, process sheets, and verbal instructions are used daily.
• Prototype work and short-run machining; sharpening drills/endmills.
• Adapt fixtures and tooling for short runs; perform limited surface grinding as directed.

Responsibilities

• Devise methods for machining parts, prototypes, and short runs.
• Work from drawings, process sheets, and verbal instructions.
• Perform prototype work, difficult machining operations, and short runs; drill/endmill sharpening and tooling issuance.
• Draw, sketch, construct, alter, repair, and test tools; diagnose problems.
• Adapt fixtures and tooling for special and short-run jobs; perform internal/external/surface grinding per instructions.
• Use precision measuring instruments; move materials; report faults to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and equipment.
• Follow safety practices and maintain machinery safety features.
• Perform other duties as required; CNC turning and milling expertise is required.
