Job summary

Senior Metal Bellows in Sharon, MA is seeking a skilled Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set up CNC and manual machines, and produce parts to exact tolerances using micrometers and calipers.

You will program, adjust tooling, and verify first pieces, while maintaining safety, quality, and on-time delivery. A strong background in aerospace/defense-related components is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Master the craft – achieve and maintain operator authorization and run high-precision work.
• Program with precision – develop and fine-tune CNC programs and fixtures.
• Set origins, offsets, and tool lengths to spec for reliable starts.
• Turn prints into real-world results using blueprints and work instructions.
• Machine components to tight tolerances and finish.
• Collaborate with Engineering on custom jobs and process improvements.
• Select, set, and load tools; run first-piece checks.
• Measure and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers.
• Train fellow machinists on setups and best practices.
• Maintain machines and troubleshoot CNC issues to keep production running.
