Job summary

Boulder Connect in Michigan is seeking a CNC Machinist Team Lead to supervise a skilled crew producing precision orthopedic, medical device, and aerospace components. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and drive on-time delivery in a regulated environment.

You will mentor teammates on 5S, safety, and best practices, coordinate workloads, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining, preferably in medical, aerospace, or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and precision measurement.
• Leadership skills to guide and mentor a team effectively.
• Knowledge of safety standards, 5S methodology, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of machinists in producing precision orthopedic, medical device, and aerospace components.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment, interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Ensure parts meet tight tolerances within a regulated environment.
• Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and mentor team members on best practices, 5S, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvements.
• Support on-time delivery of critical customer programs.
