Job summary

Sierra Space in Colorado is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist IV to operate, program, and optimize CNC machines for high‑precision aerospace components. You will perform advanced equipment setup, deburr parts, and use precision measurement tools to ensure tolerances are met.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience in machining or manufacturing.
• Expert knowledge of PPE and shop safety requirements.
• Proficient in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.

Responsibilities

• Operate, program, and optimize CNC machines for high‑precision aerospace components.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior, mid‑level, senior machinists and apprentices; enforce 5S, FOD and ESD protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of machining operations and part inspections.
