Job summary

Tecomet in Newton, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist III to operate, set up, and potentially program CNC mills, wires EDMs and lathes to exacting tolerances. You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and ensure high-quality production in a safe, GMP-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years CNC machining experience, a High School diploma or GED, and may have an associate degree or machinist apprenticeship. UK maths note may be ignored in US context; we include for completeness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Prefers Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship.
• UK GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes and improve instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure safety and quality.
• Protect productivity targets and maintain 5S in the work area.
