Job summary

TECOMET in Boston seeks an experienced CNC Machinist III to produce machined parts by operating, setting up, and potentially programming CNC mills, EDMs, and lathes. You will read engineering drawings, maintain quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced shop.

The role requires strong math skills, safety focus, and the ability to manage multiple machines while maintaining productivity and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English desirable (UK).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Record activities on the job tracking system.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping and GMP/GDP compliance.
• Propose speeds/feeds and tooling changes as needed.
