Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a skilled Machinist to fabricate, install, and maintain shop machinery. This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $36 to $42 depending on experience, with opportunities to work overtime on weekends and holidays.

You will use micrometers and vernier calipers to measure parts, set controls, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety compliance. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a technical diploma preferred; 5+ years of manual machining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Technical diploma in related area such as Precision Machining preferred.
• 5+ years of manual machining experience.
• Experience using precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals.
• Proficiency with rotating equipment manufacturing or repair is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, erect, install, and maintain shop machinery.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using micrometers and vernier calipers.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Monitor machine feed and speed during machining.
• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.
• Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specs.
