Job summary

TE Connectivity in Virginia seeks an experienced CNC Machinist responsible for precision machining and quality assurance. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, read complex drawings, and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

You will inspect with micrometers and calipers, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with engineering and production to resolve issues while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on CNC machining in job shop/production.
• Proficient reading of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous metals; plastics a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for parts to exact specifications.
• Interpret complex blueprints and drawings for dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform threading, boring, facing, turning, grooving and contouring.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges and vision systems.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve technical/quality issues.
