Job summary

Cadrex Agawam is seeking a CNC Machinist II to operate and maintain CNC machinery, perform complex setups, and ensure dimensional accuracy. You will inspect parts with precision tools, adjust programs, and maintain production quality under supervision.

The role emphasizes teamwork with CNC programmers and engineers, adherence to safety standards, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime. Onsite, M-F schedule in a manufacturing environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical certification or relevant experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of CNC operations and setups.
• Ability to read blueprints and verify dimensions with precision tools.
• Experience with quality inspections and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and monitor processes with real-time adjustments.
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Change tools, offsets and program adjustments per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot issues to sustain production flow and quality.
• Follow safety protocols and keep work area organized.
• Document production records and logs accurately.
• Collaborate with programmers and engineers to optimize processes.
