Cadrex Agawam is seeking a CNC Swiss Set Up Operator II with prior experience on Swiss CNC turning platforms. The role covers setting up, operating, and troubleshooting machining operations, ensuring high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include programming, testing, process optimization, and mentoring junior operators, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in a state-of-the-art shop. Onsite, 1st shift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines in manufacturing (preferred).
• Proficient in G-code/M-code and CAM software for Swiss machining.
• Knowledge of Swiss tooling, materials, and tolerances.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and precision in high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines for production runs.
• Develop CNC programs from drawings and specs.
• Program using CAM software or manual techniques.
• Run tests, verify programs, and measure sample parts.
• Monitor processes and adjust for quality and schedule.
• Troubleshoot tooling, equipment, or programming issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements.
• Train junior operators on setup and Swiss techniques.
• Perform routine maintenance on Swiss machines.
• Follow safety protocols at all times.
