Job summary

Lockheed Martin Orlando is seeking a CNC Machinist Sr to operate CNC and manual mills, fabricate high‑precision missile components, and drive process improvements on 2nd shift. You will interpret drawings, set up tooling, verify tolerances, and contribute to first‑piece runs and debugging of programs in GD&T‑driven work.

The role demands 5+ years in precision machining, GD&T proficiency, and strong G‑code/M‑code skills, with U.S. citizenship and the ability to work 2nd shift on site in Florida.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in precision machining.
• Must read and interpret drawings per GD&T ANSI Y14.5 Standards.
• Proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming, able to troubleshoot and optimize programs.

Responsibilities

• Set‑up, program, and operate CNC machine tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work orders to select tooling and machining strategies.
• Fabricate, inspect, rework, and calibrate components using precision measuring instruments.
• Design and build production aids, jigs, and fixtures to boost efficiency.
• Identify DFM improvements and communicate recommendations to engineering.
