Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist for the Weekend Shift to join the Manufacturing team. You will operate CNC equipment, fabricate high‑precision missile components, and contribute to process improvements to meet tight tolerances. Requirements include 5+ years in precision machining or related training, GD&T proficiency, ability to read drawings, and strong G-code/M-code programming skills.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Must be able to read and interpret drawings per Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) ANSI Y14.5 Standards. (1982 and 1994 Baseline).
Must be able to assess and determine machine tools required to produce work assigned and provide estimates of time required to produce parts.
Must be proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming with the ability to troubleshoot, edit, prove out processes, perform first piece runs, and recommend changes to programs on multi-axis machine tools proficiently.
Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Responsibilities

Set-up, program, and operate CNC machine tools.
Interpret engineering drawings and work orders to select tooling, fixturing, and machining strategies.
Fabricate, inspect, rework, and calibrate components using precision measuring instruments.
Design and build production aids, jigs, and fixtures that streamline operations and boost efficiency.
Identify design-for-manufacturability improvements and communicate recommendations to engineering.
