Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist III to operate, set up, and possibly program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes in a high-precision environment. You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and ensure products meet exact specifications with rigorous quality and safety standards.

You will also support engineering by improving fixtures and work instructions, participate in continuous improvement, and maintain detailed records while adhering to GMP/GDP practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Propose new setups and adjust offsets/tooling as part of new setups.
• Perform complex CNC machining with very close tolerances.
• Read blueprints and evaluate specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions; assist engineering with fixtures.
• Ensure OOQ quality using various measuring equipment.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for machining needs.
• Maintain daily PM and 5S/housekeeping; complete GMP/GDP documentation.
• Record activities on the job tracking system; support CI.
• Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to supervision.
