Job summary

World Tek Industries, LLC is seeking a Senior Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate 3- to 5-axis CNC mills and lathes with tolerances to 0.0002”. You will mentor junior machinists and work across first or second shift based on preference.

The role emphasizes tooling selection, G-code edits at the machine, and optimizing cycles while maintaining safety and blueprint compliance. Competitive pay and a supportive shop climate are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a high-precision CNC environment.
• Expert-level ability to read blueprints and a deep understanding of GD&T.
• Strong proficiency in geometry and trigonometry for calculating offsets and angles.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues without immediate supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain active on the shop floor for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

• High-Precision Setup: Set up and operate 3-to-5 axis CNC mills and lathes to produce complex parts with tolerances reaching 0.0002”.
• Programming & Optimization: Perform at-the-machine G-code edits and collaborate with the programming team to optimize tool paths and reduce cycle times.
• Quality Mastery: Conduct first-article inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, etc. to ensure 100% blueprint compliance.
• Technical Leadership: Act as a mentor to junior machinists, troubleshooting setups and promoting a culture of safety and precision.
• Tooling Management: Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and fixtures for various materials (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium, etc.).
