Job summary

Blue Origin's Honeybee Robotics division in Colorado seeks a skilled machinist/NC programmer to produce aerospace components. You will program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machines to create high-tolerance parts, interpret complex drawings, and work with MasterCAM for optimized processes.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in aerospace machining, experience with 3–5 axis CNCs, and a strong background in GD&T and AS9100 practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience machining aerospace components.
• Experience with aluminum, titanium, and stainless steels in aerospace contexts.
• 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC programming/setup/operation (horizontal and vertical).
• Live tooling and multi-axis lathe/milling experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to manufacture aerospace components with tight tolerances.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions to ensure precision parts.
• Program and optimize machine operations using MasterCAM and manual programming.
• Perform in-process inspection with precision measuring tools and adapt processes as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, select tools, and optimize fixtures and processes.
• Mentor and train junior machinists and collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturability.
• Maintain detailed process documentation and ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
