Job summary

Magee Technologies (MTech) is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist Technician to manufacture advanced aerospace components for DoD customers. You will work on 3-axis and 5-axis CNC programs, mentor junior machinists, and collaborate with engineering to drive continuous improvement.

Based in Southern Maryland, this role offers growth on the shop floor, leadership on prototype development, and a relocation/signing bonus up to $10,000 for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 10 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
• U.S. citizen due to DoD contract requirements.
• Clean record with the ability to obtain a US security clearance.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Okuma/OSP-300MA controls is preferred.
• Experience with large 5-axis machining is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 3 & 5 axis CNC machines using solid models and complex technical drawings.
• Mentor junior machinists and lead on the shop floor.
• Provide guidance on materials, tooling, speeds/feeds, and coolant requirements.
• Interpret GD&T specifications to ensure part accuracy.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other tools.
• Operate and maintain CNC mills, lathes, and related shop equipment.
• Provide design feedback to engineers for improvements.
• Assist production with run times and scheduling and estimating.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and ensure proper manufacturing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
