Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of 3/5 axis CNC machine controlled equipment experience in metal cutting/manufacturing.
• Ability to articulate and assist with custom tooling and fixture needs with Tooling Dept/Engineering.
• Troubleshoot tooling specific issues independently.
• Read, interpret and program as required to mitigate production delays/risks.
• Experience and understanding of GD&T application.
• Set, read and interpret precision layout and measuring instruments.
• Apply algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric functions to blueprint dimensions.
• Read multi-paged complex machining blueprints.
• Setup and operate major machine tools with accuracy.
• Independently apply talents with good judgment and self-motivation.
• Assist others in solving quality issues and complex set-ups.

Responsibilities

• Machine from process sheets and drawings to close tolerances; inspect with precision tools.
• Complete manufacturing/quality reports and tag discrepancy parts.
• Perform complex setups and precise alignment for high and medium complexity parts.
• Rigs/loads/unloads parts with handling equipment; maintain clean work area.
• Train other machinists as required; follow safety rules and shop standards.
• Operate and troubleshoot as part of a team under supervision of a Team Leader.
