Job summary

Ascentec Engineering, LLC in Tualatin, Oregon is seeking a Lead Machinist for our day shift on-site. The role leads a small team and operates CNC centers (Okuma, Mazak, Fanuc Robodrill, Haas) with a focus on quality and uptime.

You will interpret drawings, GD&T, perform setup, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Kaizen, to meet production goals. Requirements include 5+ years in CNC machining with leadership experience, strong problem solving and communication,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of machinists on day shift.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC centers.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to produce precision parts.
• Monitor quality and perform in-process inspections.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
