Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking an experienced field technician to perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment across the continental United States. You will diagnose root causes, replace defective parts, and test performance while traveling locally and nationally.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, PLC experience, and the ability to work with tools and programming software; safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Requires HS/GED and technical experience in manufacturing.
• Associates degree or 12+ years of industry experience; or 15 years in the field.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
• Willingness to travel extensively (local and national).
• Experience with maintenance techniques, automated systems, and automation integration.
• Experience with PLCs and motion control devices; use of programming software.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance.
• Identify and source parts and repair items; evaluate retrofit options.
• Set up and operate multiple machining operations; may weld.
• Document work in service reports and manuals; train customers and coworkers.
• Follow safety policies and maintain compliance.
