Job summary

CHIRON America Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assembly Floor Supervisor to lead the Project Assembly team responsible for assembling, retrofitting and rebuilding CNC machining centers, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 7+ years of CNC/PLC manufacturing experience, and at least 2 years in a supervisory role; SAP tooling and precision test equipment experience are a plus.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Trade school, journeyman or military certification in electronics preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of electrical/mechanical manufacturing or service experience in CNC/PLC environments.
Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
Experience in machine tool or metal-cutting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise Project Assembly personnel in assembling, retrofitting, rebuilding CNC centers and cells.
Oversee mechanical assembly, electrical start up and setup procedures.
Create machine books and process sheets to ensure order accuracy and workflow.
Plan floor space and coordinate with Sales Admin for shipments.
Maintain records on material costs and labor hours with Ops Director.
