Job summary

Unify Recruit is seeking a CNC Applications Engineer with a milling focus in the Charlotte, NC area. You will develop and optimize milling processes, program and demonstrate machines, and lead customer runoff tests while traveling regionally to support projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on CAM programming, machine demonstrations, training, and close collaboration with sales to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of CNC Applications Engineering or advanced CNC programming experience.
  • Strong experience with 3-axis and 5-axis milling.
  • Experience with CNC lathes or mill-turn machines is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, HyperMill, Fusion 360, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of FANUC controls and modern CNC machining practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining processes and improve cycle times.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Location: Charlotte, NC Area (Relocation Available)

Travel: Regional Travel (Approximately 25–40%)

A leading machine tool organization is seeking a CNC Applications Engineer with a strong milling background to support customers through machine demonstrations, process development, turnkey projects, training, and technical support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges while working with advanced CNC machining technologies.
