Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Associate Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to help ensure the quality and safety of construction projects. You will independently collect materials samples from various sites and perform tests, documenting results for project managers.

You will travel frequently to project sites, sometimes for several months at a time. Training occurs at the nearest Olsson office, followed by on-site work in the project location, with per diem provided for travel expenses.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction observation, inspection, or testing.
• Ability to travel to project sites for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• ACI Grade 1 or ICC Nuclear Gauge certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect construction materials samples and perform tests following established procedures.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Travel to project sites, sometimes for several months at a time.
• Utilize PPE and provided equipment, company truck, and laptop for field work.
