Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking an experienced Senior CMT & Special Inspector to provide technical expertise and quality oversight for Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections. This senior individual contributor will support project teams, coordinate field activities, and mentor staff while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires extensive testing experience, strong judgment, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of construction inspection and/or materials testing experience.
• Current ICC and WABO inspector certifications for structural welding and high-strength bolting; reinforced concrete; structural masonry; ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I; and nuclear density gauge operator certification.
• Certifications in SFRM, anchors, lateral wood framing, post-tensioned concrete, ACI Aggregate Testing Technician, ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician, or similar specialties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections services per plans, specs, codes, and standards.
• Evaluate field conditions, inspection findings, test results, and code compliance with independent technical judgment.
• Serve as a technical resource for project teams, clients, contractors, and colleagues.
• Complete and review field reports, testing documentation, and project records for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
