Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a CMS Implementation Specialist to lead end-to-end technical implementation of the GeoInfo website, collaborating with project teams, designers, and data security staff. The role focuses on transforming strategy into a robust Drupal and/or Wagtail CMS with migrations, templates, and workflows.

You will configure core CMS structures, build reusable templates, manage migrations of text, data, and assets, and ensure testing, accessibility, and go-live readiness with Jira-driven

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years hands-on CMS development and technical implementation experience.
• Proficiency in Drupal and/or Wagtail.
• Experience with content migration pipelines and data migrations.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility and testing.
• Ability to document architecture and ADRs.

Responsibilities

• Implement CMS page models using Drupal (Twig, custom modules) and Wagtail (StreamField, Django templates).
• Support taxonomy alignment and information architecture from Level 0 through Level 2.
• Coordinate with technical, infrastructure, and security stakeholders for compliance and hosting standards.
• Execute content migration workflows per the Content Migration Plan.
• Lead extraction, cleaning, and ingestion of legacy assets into CMS media libraries.
• Establish URL routing, redirects, and navigation connecting legacy content to new site.
• Lead and support testing, editorial workflows, access control, search indexing, and go-live readiness.
• Support integration of third-party systems and enterprise databases (e.g., ERP).
• Track deliverables, backlog, bugs in Jira; maintain technical documentation and ADRs.
