RESPEC seeks a Content Strategist to lead digital content strategy, taxonomy architecture, governance frameworks, migration planning, and staff enablement for the GeoInfo web presence. The role collaborates with the delivery team, program directors, subject matter experts, and product managers to establish standardized editorial policies and repeatable content models.

Qualifications

7–10 years of professional content strategy and governance experience.
Experience with taxonomy, metadata, and editorial lifecycle design for enterprise CMS.
Ability to translate scientific or technical content into audience-focused digital models.
Strong facilitation and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define institutional content standards for authorship, review, tagging, and retirement.
Diagram end-to-end editorial workflows with stages like drafting, review, publication, revision, and archiving.
Plan organizational taxonomies, vocabularies, metadata schemas, and structured CMS types.
Create a modular Content Management Handbook with SOPs and workflow diagrams.
Develop a migration plan covering content inventory, deduplication, mapping, and milestones.
Assist data ingestion and inventory audits to map legacy GeoInfo content into the new CMS.
Guide content optimization for key landing pages and portals.
Design multi-tier editorial permissions and role matrices.
Advise leadership on staffing and governance post-launch.
Produce CMS training materials and run live training sessions.
