Job summary

The R&D Chemist will develop CMP polishing slurries and related materials for the semiconductor industry, applying a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science or Engineering.

You will lead formulation from inception to pilot plant, document work, test against specifications, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to optimize product performance.

Experience with CMP, metrology and analytical instruments is required, with strong teamwork in a lab, cleanroom and office environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate required in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or closely related field.
• 4+ years in formulation R&D or related field, preferably CMP polishing slurries, clean chemistry, particle fabrication, inorganic or polymer chemistry.
• Experience working with customers in high-performance applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops slurry polishing formulations and manufacturing processes from inception through pilot plant phases.
• Generates and documents formulation IP for Fujimi group.
• Works with customers to identify target specifications and test slurry performance.
• Monitors testing of new products, analyzes results and provides feedback.
• Ensures all required Fujimi NPI procedures are documented and met.
• Investigates customer questions by analysis of products and processes.
• Communicates with parent company research department on project goals.
