Job summary

Tech Talent Link, Inc. is seeking a CMM Technician to support high-volume production of molded metal components by creating, qualifying, and implementing measurement processes. You will provide support for engineering development and manufacturing.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs and selecting measurement methods, developing CMM processes, performing First Article, GR&R, and capability studies, and assisting QA to move production efficiently while improving measurement procedures.

Qualifications

• 3 years as a CMM Tech in a high volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in programming and operating CMMs using Zone3, PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), blueprint reading, and dimensional metrology.
• Experience with gage R&R studies.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).

Responsibilities

• Review new product designs and recommend the best measurement processes using various tools including hand tools, fixtures, visual inspection systems and CMMs.
• Create measurement processes for new designs and validate them for accuracy, repeatability and production suitability.
• Complete new product qualification activities, including First Article Inspection, GR&R, and capability studies.
• Support production and QA activities to move production efficiently, disposition problem material, troubleshoot CMM programs and continuously improve measurement procedures.
