Job summary

Lakeside Recruiting seeks a CMM Lab & Quality Supervisor to ensure metrology-driven quality in production. You will lead measurement activities, develop testing plans, and coordinate gauge systems to meet customer specifications.

Role requires mechanical engineering background, metrology expertise, and hands-on CMM programming, with experience in automotive environments preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Specialized training and extensive metrology experience.
• Programming experience with PC-DMIS or Calypso.
• Knowledge of machining and casting is beneficial.
• Experience in automotive industry and related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out measurements for monitoring serial production.
• Carry out and evaluate capability studies and cleanliness tests.
• Plan and implement metrological methods.
• Quality planning in product development.
• Participate in handling customer complaints.
• Train staff in metrology.
• Program and set up CMMs and design fixtures.
• Organize and manage FMEA meetings in development and production.
• Monitor, provision, test, and coordinate gauge management system.
• Create, coordinate, and modify test plans.
• Plan maintenance of measuring equipment.
• Provide metrological support for setups and CNC optimization.
• Plan and carry out sampling (PPAP).

CMM Lab & Quality Supervisor

The CMM Lab & Quality Supervisor will work closely with production and use the appropriate testing/measuring equipment to ensure quality products are manufactured and supplied in accordance with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Planning and carrying out measurements for monitoring of the serial production.
• Carrying out and evaluating capability studies and cleanliness tests.
• Planning and implementation of metrological method.
• Quality planning in the product development stage.
• Participating in the handling of customer complaints.
• Training of staff in matters of metrology.
• Programming and set up of CMMs and design of fixtures.
• Organization and management of FMEA meetings in the product development and serial production phases.
• Monitoring, provisioning, testing, and coordination of the gauge management system.
• Test plan creation, coordination, and modification.
• Planning of maintenance of the measuring equipment.
• Metrological support of set ups and optimization of CNC machines.
• Planning and carrying out of sampling (PPAP).

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Specialized training and extensive experience in the field of Metrology.
• Previous programming experience using PC-DMIS or Calypso
• Knowledge of machining and casting of components is beneficial
• Experience in the automotive industry and associated technical and quality requirements.
