Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer for our aerospace/defense manufacturing environment. You will independently develop, modify, and optimize PC-DMIS inspection programs, working with drawings, CAD models, and specifications to capture critical dimensions.

You will troubleshoot programming issues, update revisions, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, machinists and inspectors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PC-DMIS CMM programming from scratch.
• Strong GD&T knowledge for complex drawings.
• Aerospace, defense, or AS9100 manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot CMM issues in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create, modify and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS.
• Create complete CMM programs from engineering drawings, CAD models and specifications.
• Perform dimensional inspection of complex, precision-machined components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T requirements and customer specifications.
• Ensure all required dimensions and characteristics are captured within inspection programs.
• Troubleshoot and correct CMM programming issues, machine errors and CMM crashes.
• Maintain and update CMM program revisions as production and engineering requirements change.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, machinists and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Support production by completing assigned programming work within timelines.
• Assist inspectors and production personnel with CMM-related questions and technical support.
