Job summary

Means Engineering, Inc. is seeking a hands-on CMM Programmer in the Carlsbad area. You will bring expertise in OpenDMIS, CMM programming, GD&T, inspection, and precision measurement to a high-performance manufacturing team.

The role involves setting up and calibrating CMMs, performing multi-stage inspections, and supporting quality processes such as FAIRs/NCRs and ERP documentation, while collaborating with Engineering and Production to drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CMM programming.
• Strong metrology and GD&T knowledge.
• Able to document inspections and communicate results clearly.
• Familiarity with ISO/AS quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, program, and calibrate CMM machines to inspect parts per specifications.
• Perform and document inspections at receiving, in-process, final, and shipping stages.
• Support FAIRs, NCRs, and ERP documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production; review MRB dispositions and assist in corrective actions.
