Location: Frankfort, IN (On-site, No relocation)
Shift: 1st Shift (flexible start time: 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM)
Pay: $30–$35/hour (based on experience)
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 automotive seating manufacturing client in the Frankfort, IN area. This is a hands‑on metrology/quality role focused on CMM programming and dimensional inspection. This position will be the only CMM programmer onsite, so the ability to work independently is important. Preference is for someone who can program from scratch, though editing existing programs may be part of the role as well.
Parts inspected include complete seat assemblies, metal seat frames, foam, and trim components.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate a DCC CMM using PC‑DMIS (prefer from‑scratch programming)
- Perform Romer arm scanning using PolyWorks
- Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T to develop inspection programs
- Create inspection standards, validation sheets, and ballooned prints/documentation
- Calibrate and maintain measurement tools (calipers, height gauges, torque wrenches, load cells, etc.)
- Support internal and customer inspection/calibration requirements
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in a CMM programming role preferred
- Strong PC‑DMIS programming and CMM operating experience
- Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T
- Comfortable working independently in a manufacturing/quality lab environment
- Proficient with common measurement tools and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PolyWorks and Romer arm scanning
- Automotive manufacturing quality experience
- Experience creating inspection standards tied to ballooned prints
