Job summary

Bharat Forge Aluminum USA, Inc. in Tennessee seeks a meticulous CMM operator to join the quality team. You will program and operate the CMM using Calypso and Polyworks, read blueprints, and verify conformance to drawings and customer requirements.

You will inspect forgings, die blocks and electrodes, measure dimensions, and calculate angles from reference points. You will design basic gauges for inspection and perform gauge R&R studies while maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Able to interpret technical drawings.
• Able to read measuring devices such as calipers, multimeters.
• Good computer skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, mathematics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using Calypso and Polyworks.
• Read and interpret blueprints and plan working procedure.
• Inspect forgings, die blocks and electrodes for compliance to specifications and tolerances.
• Measure dimensions, calculate angles from established references.
• Maintain records of customer approvals and job metrics.
• Design basic gauges for inspection purposes and perform gauge R&R studies.
