Job summary

Bharat Forge Aluminum USA, Inc. in Tennessee seeks a Forge Press Operator to set up forge presses and produce a variety of forgings.

You will visually and dimensionally inspect parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and targets for uptime, quality, rework, and scrap set by the Forging Manager. Responsibilities include following supervisor directions, safety procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and control plans; reading forged blueprints; sign-off for pre-production with the Forge

Qualifications

Reads and interprets forging blueprints and written customer specifications.
Follows safety procedures and works according to SOPs.
Follows work instructions and control plans.
Ensures quality by inspecting forgings and meeting targets.
Trains and enforces that workforce complies with procedures and SPC.

Responsibilities

Set up forge press to produce a variety of forgings.
Visually and dimensionally inspect forgings for conformance to customer specs.
Achieve forge uptime, quality, rework, and scrap targets as directed by Forging Manager.
Read and interpret forging blueprints and customer specifications.
Perform minor repairs to tools and review forge tools for repairs.
