Qualifications

Affinity for and demonstrated success in a fast-moving, dynamic manufacturing environment.
Customer-centric approach with ability to facilitate solutions with minimal direction.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components, bladed hardware or equivalent.
A minimum of 7 years in CMM programming and operation.
A minimum of 7 years in high-mix, low volume machining environment.
Experience bridging design intent, DFx, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.
Excellent communication skills.
Fluent in precision hand tools, gauges, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components.
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

Provide actionable inspection and validation feedback to design, engineering, and manufacturing through entire product lifecycle, bridging product intent with GD&T and inspection methods.
Prepare plans and programs, setup, and execute inspection plans and methods to inspect hardware using CMM, optical comparators, vision systems, and related equipment.
Manage equipment calibration.
Program, setup and operate CMM and other computer aided systems.
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
Document Non-Conformance reports as required.
Provide inspection time estimates.
Process improvement including inspection cycle time reductions.
Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
Safely work within an industrial environment.
