Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Virginia and/or the District of Columbia to serve as a Senior CMI Project Manager / Deputy CMI Market Sector Lead. This role will support AECOM’s Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) transportation business in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Responsibilities include managing all phases of CMI projects, serving as the main client contact, providing technical leadership, mentoring teams, and ensuring schedule,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• PE license in VA/DC or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• CCM certification is preferred.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) projects from planning through closeout.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and service quality.
• Provide technical leadership on constructability reviews and field challenges.
• Support project owners and multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex issues.
• Lead, mentor and develop project teams to drive collaboration and growth.
• Coordinate engineers, inspectors and technicians to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
