Job summary

Stanley 1913 is seeking a Senior Color, Material and Finish Development Manager to lead the CMF Development team and maintain brand standards across Softgoods and Hardgoods. You will work closely with CMF Design, Product Management, and Supply Chain to translate design intents and manage end-to-end workflows in PLM systems.

We expect 10+ years in CMF development, 5+ years in people management, and strong color/material knowledge.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Color Material Finish development.
• 5+ years experience leading people/managers.
• Experience with CMF for hardgoods and softgoods.
• Strong understanding of color, materials, finishes, and on-product artwork application.
• Proficient with PLM systems and MS Office tools (PowerPoint/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead CMF development and Production Art across Softgoods and Hardgoods, ensuring alignment with brand standards and product strategy.
• Translate CMF design intent across Inline, Express Lane, Partnerships, and Collaborations with CMF Design, Product Management, and Supply Chain.
• Oversee CMF development workflows, timelines, deliverables, and PLM data for end-to-end visibility.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and internal teams to resolve challenges and support new product development and prototyping.
• Drive continuous improvement of CMF standards, processes, digital color systems, and SOPs.
• Lead sample reviews, manage development samples, seasonal storage, and archives.
• Mentor and develop CMF Developers and Production Artists; foster inclusive CMF Studio culture.
• Travel to APAC region ~twice annually to support onsite development activities.
• Must have Superior Discrimination of Farnsworth Munsell Hue 100 test.
